The Saskatchewan Oral Health Professions have recently updated the Infection Prevention & Control Standards in the Oral Health Care Facility and will be in force in oral health facilities effective June 1, 2019. Members should familiarize themselves with the 2019 manual as there are many changes throughout the document. LINK TO 2019 IPC MANUAL

The following course was developed for dental assistants by SDAA and is based on the NEW 2019 Infection Prevention & Control Standards in the Oral Health Care Facility.

In order to receive 2 credits for reviewing the manual, you must achieve 70% on the test.  The system will lead you through 50 multiple choice questions to test your familiarity with the SOHP Infection Prevention & Control Standards.  The test has time restrictions so complete it in a timely manner. If you take time to look up answers, the test results will be recorded as "anonymous" and you will need to repeat the test to acquire professional development credits. Alternately, members who complete the 50 question test within the allocated time and achieve a a result of 70% or higher will have 2 professional development credits automatically posted to your professional development record.
